What a typical build looks like

Real figures from our CRM and platform projects

  • Month 1~£3,000

Core features live and in use

  • Month 3~£6,000

    A genuinely good version

  • Month 6£6–12k

Mature system, about £1,000 a month after month 3

  • 6–24 moLight

Refinement as daily use surfaces new needs

Smaller operations often land nearer £6,000 in total. A starter system around one task can begin at £1,000–2,000.

We started by building a custom CRM for our own business

Now we replace spreadsheets, manual links and five disconnected apps for other teams, with one system built around how they actually work.

How we work

We start by doing your job for a few days

Interviews tell us what people think the problem is. Living the problem shows us what it really is, and it lets us suggest things you would not think to ask for.

  1. Days 1 to 5

    We live your days

We sit in on real work, play your customer, and message your own channels with hard requests on purpose to see where the process strains.

  2. Month 1

    Two or three core features

We ship the features that remove the most manual work, and you validate them with your real team.

  3. Months 2 to 6

    The snowball

Each new feature answers a real request from daily use, in the order that pays back fastest.

  4. After launch

    We stay close

About one request a month until the system is mature, then monthly missions whenever you need more.

Why teams choose us

We swim with you in the project

We are flexible in a way most companies are not. We don't put a stopwatch on every hour or turn every question into an invoice. We treat your project as if it were ours, and we stay obsessed with the numbers until we succeed together.

That includes the hard moments. When one of our developers found a flaw in our own document security on a live platform, after we had called it foolproof, we told the client the same day and spent two more months rebuilding it properly.

Bespoke software London teams can reach, without the London overheads

Businesses searching for bespoke software in London, or for a partner outside the capital, usually want two things: people who understand how UK businesses run, and people they can actually reach.

  • Bespoke software company London

    Call the same day

As a bespoke software company London teams can call the same day, we keep our rates below big-agency level because we don't carry city-centre overheads. You pay for the work, not the office.

  • Bespoke software development, Manchester

    The same goes UK-wide

The same goes for bespoke software development, Manchester, Leeds or anywhere else in the country, and for bespoke software development services UK-wide: Leeds, Birmingham, Glasgow or a village outside Bath, you get the same team and the same hours.

  • Regulated work

For finance and healthcare, the data model comes first

If you are looking for a financial software development company or a medical software development company, the questions are the same ones we ask on every project, only stricter: who can see which record, what must be kept, and what happens when one client has many accounts or one patient many visits. We design those rules into the database before we build screens, because a wrong early assumption is the most expensive thing to undo later.

UK hours

Your hours, with one hour or less of difference all year

We work UK hours, one hour or less of difference all year, and you talk directly to the developers writing your code.

Before you hire anyone

Three mistakes we see people make with their first custom build

If you have decided custom is right for you but have never worked with developers, these are the traps to avoid, whoever you hire.

  1. 1

    Mistake 1

    An unreliable freelancer

If one developer can't commit to real timelines or isn't consistently available, "two months" quietly becomes six, and six becomes indefinite.

  2. 2

    Mistake 2

    Big words, shallow data

Some agencies sell strategy and automation jargon. Custom software is a database and an interface, and the database is only as good as the team's understanding of your work. Treat something as unique that later needs to be many, and the fix costs you.

  3. 3

    Mistake 3

    Building everything at once

Start with two or three main features, work with them, see the results, then plan the rest. It validates the company and it validates the idea for you.

Still on spreadsheets?

Don't overthink it. Start small.

You have probably thought about moving off spreadsheets at least once. Almost everyone has. An organised system is not a nice-to-have; it is the base of a business that wants to grow.

Pick your highest-volume task and put just that into a small system, for £1,000–2,000. It is not a big budget, and it shows you the difference between the two ways of working before you commit to more.

Month 1

~£3,000

Core features live and in use.

  • First tool

    £1–2k

to start with one high-volume task

  • Scope

    2–3

    core features before anything else

  • Changes

    ~1 h

for a small change once you're live

  • Licences

    0

    per-seat licence fees

Straight answer

When you don't need us

If you run five or six classes with 20 to 30 students, or a sales process that barely changes year to year, off-the-shelf tools will serve you well. Save your money.

Custom software earns its cost when your needs are specific, your operation keeps changing, and your team spends its days copying, pasting and reminding. That is where we are useful, and on the call we will tell you which side of that line you are on.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

  • We build software around one business's own workflow: custom software and web applications, CRM systems and ERP systems. Most projects replace spreadsheets, manual links and disconnected tools with one organised place.

  • From our own projects: core features in month one for about £3,000, a genuinely good version by month three for about £6,000, then about £1,000 a month to a mature system at six months (£6,000–12,000 in total). If you just want to feel the difference, a small system around your highest-volume task starts at £1,000–2,000.

  • Yes. We work with teams across the UK, including London and Manchester, remotely and on UK hours. Discovery happens on calls and screen-shares, and when it helps, we spend days inside your real tools and channels.

  • We build custom software for businesses in any sector, including finance and healthcare, where records, permissions and audit trails matter. The first step is always the same: we map how your work really flows before we design the database.

  • Yes. If you run a small, standard operation, tools like HubSpot, Pipedrive, Google Classroom or a well-built spreadsheet may serve you better. We will say so on the call and save you the money.
